Admire the architecture and the works of art at Centro Cultural Palacio de la Moneda y Plaza de la Ciudadania. Both the plaza and the gallery underneath it were constructed as part of a nationwide program celebrating the 200th anniversary of Chilean independence. The former parking lot of the presidential palace was transformed into a wide plaza, and the multi-storey gallery was built to host some of the most important art exhibitions in Chile, as well as the National Film Archive and the Digital Library. The gallery showcases both classical and contemporary art from all over the world, with a full schedule of exhibits available online. • In the first instance this cultural centre is a great discovery, that hides the Palace of the currency. Enter you soaking several art works and galleries, you can see art, buy art, buy books or simply a good coffee. Many activities in this small place.

  • This is a place that I love, I have visited all the exhibitions that have done this last time (armor samurai, ancient Egypt, the forbidden city and Picasso), in addition, always the exhibitions are accompanied by related activities, e.g. when he was the forbidden city there were classes of martial arts for children. Always can be accessed free exhibitions if you go during the morning, I think that they begin to collect from noon
