Both the plaza and the gallery underneath it were constructed as part of a nationwide program celebrating the 200th anniversary of Chilean independence. The former parking lot of the presidential palace was transformed into a wide plaza, and the multi-storey gallery was built to host some of the most important art exhibitions in Chile, as well as the National Film Archive and the Digital Library. • Very nice. Well kept. Nice expositions. There are free hours so if your budget is low is a good option to go before 1:00pm. Access buy bus, subway, or car. Place in the historic part of Santiago you can go to more places around to eat or get some cultural experience
  • Always surprising. The centre usually has some art exhibitions that has a common topic, for example from march 23rd to may 28th they had "La revolución de las formas" that was representative of 60 years of geometrical art. Now they have until October 15th, about 228 pieces of Andy Warhol artwork . With every exhibition you can participate interactively in the "Fundacion Mustakis" activities (it's located between the art exhibitions) , is usually crowded but if you are lucky you can register in one of their activities. The centre also count with a cinema(with art topics or Chilean productions) In today's visit I have found something really fascinating. In the store near the front desk (just after you pass "Zico" , the centres reddish pet) "Fundación Artesanías de Chile" has open free workshops, what you need to do for participate on them is arrive half an hour before the workshop get started and register. Every Saturday and Sunday they have one in the morning (12-13 hours) and one in the afternoon (16-17 hours), until August they'll have "telar mapuche" were you can create your own bookmark with sheep's wool.
  • Is an awesome place, good looking and must have if you're in Santiago visiting. It also have a really strong security and you can see eventually a see with militaries in there.
  • This place has some awesome art works on display. 2 galleries dedicated to Picasso. It's free to visit UpTo 1 pm after which you have to pay. The other sections have free entry for longer duration. You can learn a bit about light painting here. Some fun learning for kids. This place has some tribal made artifacts for sale. There is a cafeteria on the very first level, where you enter and free wifi.
  • Very nice. Nice expositions. It feels so clean
