Centro Artesanal Santa Lucia, Santiago
(4/5 based on 140+ reviews on the web)
Wander through Centro Artesanal Santa Lucia, a city street market specializing in handcrafted local items and souvenirs. This central market opens all day and sits just opposite Cerro Santa Lucia Park. The stalls radiate with bold bright colours and items hang chaotically on display. Shade cloths and an abundance of tall plants on the walkways provide for a pleasant shopping environment. Typical items include leather goods, woollen clothing, jewellery, shoes, and items made of copper. Don't expect to barter too much as the prices are fixed. Some stalls accept different currencies. A visit to Centro Artesanal Santa Lucia represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Santiago itinerary planner to plot your vacation.

  • Located steps from the metro, the fair has all the typical handicrafts of Chile and elsewhere in South America, such as Bolivia and Peru, distributed in well maintained jobs, and sellers give very good care.

  • Very good for shopping to buy silver, arts, local stuff, t-shirts, caps, flags, everything you can imagine. It is the largest handicraft market place. worth negotiating, do give discounts.

  • This fair is very well located, have many years in operation, and is the most typical place of Santiago to buy crafts of all kinds. For foreigners who visit the city and enjoy this art, should visit it, highly recommended.
