Barrio Bellavista, Santiago

(6,000+ reviews on the web)
Neighborhood
Green and purple, orange and blue--the famous facades of Barrio Bellavista look more like gingerbread houses than real homes. But it's the people and culture, not the architecture, that really make Santiago's bohemian quarter a vibrant place. Known as much for its cafe culture as its energetic nightlife, the neighborhood pulses around the clock, as the city's coolest crowd congregates and unwinds. Take a stroll through the leafy streets, admire the quirky houses, then find the perfect bar and get the party started. Using our online itinerary creator, Santiago attractions like Barrio Bellavista can form part of a personalized travel itinerary.

  • Bella Vista is the region where the main restaurants, among them the like water for chocolate, a lovely place with good food. Price not cheap but affordable. This region also has the beautiful courtyard view that is like a mall but not open stores, restaurants. A unique place. If you're not hungry, it pays to get to know at least.
