Montes, Santa Cruz

(4.4/5 based on 380+ reviews on the web)
Take a tour of Montes to learn about methods used to create some of Chile's award-winning wines. Founded by four friends in 1987, the winery is the only one in Chile owned exclusively by native Chileans. See scenic vineyards in the heart of Apalta Valley and taste the estate's "Premium" and "Icon" wines, then enjoy a delicious meal at a restaurant overlooking the region's picturesque mountain landscape. Put Montes into our Santa Cruz trip itinerary planner and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

  • We did a tasting with Isabel who was so nice and knowledgeable!! No reservations but just drove up and were lucky to have a beautiful tasting experience. Gorgeous location and loved the tasting room! ...  more »
  • The vinicola restaurant is beautiful and the wine, as I knew, delicious. But the tasting tour, which includes a truck ride through the vineyard, it's super fast, with just one stop, without being able to get out of the truck, it's very technical, with no emotion .... super cold! The tasting itself, only with the right commercial wines .... Visit well below expectations and well below the other in the region.

  • We ask for a wild boar and it was dry, badly prepared, my partner without large shiny fish. Positive: the place is nice.
