Lapostolle Clos Apalta Winery, Santa Cruz

(4.6/5 based on 480+ reviews on the web)
Sample a classic regional wine at Lapostolle Clos Apalta Winery, a highly regarded estate with an array of attractive vineyards. The modernist architecture of the main building adds a cool, contemporary feel to the experience, while the rolling vineyards, neatly ordered on the hilly landscape, offer plentiful vistas and photo opportunities. Hand-harvested at night, the grapes are de-stemmed before fermenting in 21 small vats, where they remain for two years before bottling. Talk to the knowledgeable staff about winemaking heritage in the area and the history of the winery, and taste the wine before picking up a bottle or two to take away with you. • The tour in Portuguese was perfect, albeit expensive $20,000 pesos per person. I thought it was fantastic he offer the top wine, Clos Apalta, no other Winery includes the top on the tour. The winery has an amazing circular stair with a pendulum, which Valley beautiful pictures. A good choice.

  • A single installation, with a modern building built inside the mountain. The entire production process is done with a lot of tradition in old methods, and technology in the most modern procedures. There are six floors where everything occurs by gravity, and the visit takes you to know all the steps. Finally, a tasting in the last basement, with a fantastic surprise. Be sure to visit. The store, small, sells half-price wines of Brazil.

  • Every trip the various each have a differential, i.e. they are unique! We did the tour Clos Apalta which accounts for 2% of the production of this terroir. Vinicola restaurant totally handmade, all handmade from harvest to the bottling process. Wines of excellent quality, Cuvee Alexandre, Clos Apalta, Borobo ... Owner of this vinicola restaurant is owner of tbem Grand Marnier in France. There's a lot of history .... The tasting room looks like a ship. Respect nature.
