Where to stay in Santa Cruz

Santa Cruz has become known for providing a glimpse into the country's agricultural heritage, though not at the expense of development. As such, you'll find a good mix of accommodations around the main town and its rural outskirts. Refined hotels and boutique guesthouses dominate the main urban area, along with simpler fare for more budget-conscious travelers located on side streets. Heading out of town, a good number of converted farm buildings and ranches offer characterful lodgings amidst the region's attractive scenery.

  • This was a fascinating place! Well laid out and lots of interesting exhibits including an exhibit dedicated to the 33 Chilean Miners and the events which surrounded their entrapment. Requires a few hours to appreciate well. Electronic translators are provided to assist non-Spanish speakers. Beautiful buildings.
  • Wide ranging history of Chile and the Americas. There is a lot to see and as a bonus your ticket is good for 24 hours so you can come back the following day.
  • The colección of Andean jewelry is amazing! Lots to see here
  • very well set up museum with a lot of interesting exhibits. well worth a visit. only downside is that only a small part is available in English, so be prepared accordingly.
  • A surprisingly good and diverse museum! Lots of natural history and cultural history. Photography of the exhibits is not permitted.
