  • We took the tour proposed by Estrella del on which begins with the petrogryphes of Yerbas Buenas, then continues through the Valley Arcoiris (Rainbow for the French). The guide was perfect and we explained the formation of these rather extraordinary colourful reliefs. The petrogryphes part is very interesting also. Note that the tour includes in small markets to soak up the scene.

  • We did the tour with 123. Our guide Jorge is a geologist and this made the amazing new ride. The landscape is beautiful. We went to the dry falls and he explained how the whole valley was formed and it is stunning to get realize that everything has already been a river. In Atacama landscapes are all wonderful and as this is a short ride to do early on, and preferably in the morning. So the rocks reflect more the Sun and you can see better the blend of colors. In the back of the ride there is a stop in a local park to view Petroglyphs. Very interesting is bizarre to see drawings of thousands of years showing that the region has been a centre of passage and trade. Important tips. Take water. There is no where to buy. In there is no bathroom. At the entrance of the Park of the Petroglyphs there is bathroom. Sunscreen ever.
