  • As this is a private property, in addition to access to be paid, is there a limit would dictate, so don't get carried away so much! Give up to go, because there was a huge line. In addition to being expensive access.

  • Great place. A canyon opens up and you see a green oasis in the middle of the dessert. Reminded me on scenes in wild west movies. Nice warm water flowing into 8 pools of different settings incl. watrr...  more »
  • It's a cute place, however, water cups are small, can have many people and does not enjoy as well, at the same time as the water not noticed markedly thermal (both temperature and aroma salts). What is remarkable is with nice bathrooms and dressing rooms.

  • If you are in the San Pedro area I would put this high on your list of things to do. A little pricey (around $25 per person when I went in 2017) but well worth it in my opinion. One of the most natural feeling hot springs I've ever been to.
  • Worth seeing if you are in San Pedro - although be aware of: 1) The water is not actually that warm in comparison to other hot springs (in my experience from Japan and Budapest) 2) The top pool is off limits to guests on a day trip and is reserved for what I think is a hotel 3) Make sure you wear sun cream! 4) There is an additional entrance fee (around £15-20 per person) on top of what the San Pedro travel agencies charge (unless they state it is included)
  • THIS IS NOT HOT WATER 💦 Lukewarm at best (at least in August). And the warmest two pools will be booked (and guarded by walkie-talkie armed men) for some upgrade hotel! So you will pay a ridiculous amount for transportation, even more for entrance to swim around in knee deep NOT HOT WATER. Was NOT worth the money! Sure it was beautiful (2nd ⭐️), but it SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO BE SOLD AS 'HOT SPRINGS'! Very disappointed.
  • Amazing place, to take a rest from the other tours.
  • Outdoor Thermal baths which are part of a river. Each of the 8 pools are surrounded by reeds and ferns which line the rocky bathing pools. Some have waterfalls flowing into them. Temperatures range about 32oc at the hottest to a 25oc at the bottom. Some basic changing rooms with lockers available and each pool accessed by wooden walkways.

Where to stay in San Pedro de Atacama

As the stepping-stone to the nearby national reserve, San Pedro de Atacama offers an impressive range of hotels and guesthouses. Despite the big selection, prices remain relatively high throughout the year due to the town's status as northern Chile's tourist hub. At the peak of the summer season (late December to late March), some budget-friendly hostels even require single travelers to share a room with another guest. If you wish to avoid that, look into one of the hotels, many of which cluster around the town's central area and line the main street.
