Laguna Tebinquinche, San Pedro de Atacama

(4.7/5 based on 1,100+ reviews on the web)
Discover how captivating the driest place on Earth can be when you add some water to it at Laguna Tebinquinche. Unlike the other lagoons of the Atacama Desert--generally small pools of water--this is actually a proper saltwater lake, nestled under the towering peaks of the Andes. The mirrorlike surface reflects the surrounding scenery, making this spot famous for some of Chile's most beautiful sunsets. In the summer the lake tends to dry, leaving behind a thick layer of salt that you can easily walk on. Drive to the lake on your own, or join one of the many organized tours of the salt flats that regularly leave from San Pedro de Atacama. • Like all the rest of the Atacama desert, is amazing! The contrast of colors at sunset yielded great shots. You can do this walk together with the Cejar Lagoon and Ojos del Salar, as are close

  • They are a group of Lakes of which 2 of them can swim, has a lot of salt thus fleets, is the same effect as Cejar lagoon, but at a price much cheaper $5,000. Circuits are marked, it has toilets and showers for after bathing in the lagoon. It is open until 18:00 app. Wear shoes closed because the road is of salt and hurt the feet to the walk in sandals. For get you must take the detour from the plain of the patience towards the right if is that going from Calama, but to the left if come from San Pedro, are 45 kms towards in, the road is of land... Only you can see hills, mountains, salt lakes, and in the place you least imagine are gaps.
