  • A huge disappointment finding closed this important Museum. Although some time ago already had withdrawn from display my Chile, just very interesting era Mummy visit him. The worst thing is that I didn't see any sign that explain reasons for the closure. I thought it was a lack of respect and discretion not to expose a warning to tourists. Bad image for the administration of the Museum.

  • NOT bad that when visit it had removed the mummies for which this Museum became famous Ej. with the Miss Chile, by requirement of the local ethnic groups

  • Eventhough it is a very interesting place and a must of San Pedro de Atacama, currently the Museum is closed and will remain closed for at least two years.

  • A nice museum showing various archaeological artifacts. It takes about an hour to walk around.
  • Very good. Anthropology surrounding atacama people.
  • thoughtfully put together museum, sadly without the famous mummies, but they give you a long video with their reasons.
  • decent enough... if pressed for time focus on outdoor activities though
  • Already got underway (2016) the construction of new and modern Archaeological Museum, in the same field of the current. Going to count with more than 5000 meters square built. A breakthrough and development to San Pedro de Atacama. Congratulations.
