  • Nothing that the road to the entrance of the Park is worth it. Access to the reserve is to Baños Morales. The climb to the foot of the glacier is 8 km long slightly uphill all the way. The 3er being the most difficult. Plan of water and sunscreen. The price is ridiculous (2500 for nationals) and 5000 for foreigners and the beauty of the landscape is breathtaking.

  • I went with friends and we were all day doing trekking (hiking). You should go with water, food and shelter just in case. 4/5 hours of ida and many others back. bring sunscreen. is not very demanding (neither technical nor physically) highly recommended for outdoor lovers!

  • Very close to the Centre of Santiago de Chile, usually to 1 hour 30, will be able to move you to another geographical reality: will pass from the noise, traffic and stress of the big city to calm, magnificence and beauty of the mountain and one of its unique and very well kept: the San Francisco glacier. This glacier, testimony of the major glaciations of millions of years ago, it looks between the folds of the mountain and offers us a magnificent spectacle for the senses, sight is filled, bristling skin and smell is satrura. To go there should enter the cajón del Maipo and move along the path to the volcano to the town of Baños Morales... are about 65 kilometers of paved road for easy travel. You must park in Baños Morales and go walking until access to the El Morado national monument, administered by Conaf, where a variable value depending on whether entry must be paid is Chilean or foreign. The path that must travel exclusively walking has some slight difficulty in his first segment but is affordable for people of all ages with sliding autonomy. At the end of the first section there is a crystalline water course known as Aguas Panimávida., ideal to rest briefly before continuing the March. Then moves to find the glacier lagoon and surrounding it can reach the same glacier. Don't forget to bring a bag to bring all your garbage and, possibly, others that may have forgotten this detail. The walk will be for a total of 16 kilometers and can be done between 4 and 5 hours in total. Consider that the income is only until 1 p.m. and the exit of the Park should be up to 17:30 hours. Good luck and enjoy this unique and unrepeatable experience!
