  • We were pa last week, just after two days of bad weather, the scenery was incredible, all white! but the way that initially was mud, gradually became ice resvaladizo so I recommend going with good shoes, and not go with the typical shoes with flat base, since it will save a good THUMP: D but the walk is amazing, very cute and with an incomparable landscape in Santiago

  • The Embalse is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. Stay in the Cajon del Maipo, Maipo river canyon, or whatever. From Santiago, there are approximately 70 km of beautiful scenery and many curves. The first stop was San José del Maipo. From there, follow until the Embalse, a reservoir of water that originates in the Andes mountains at about 3,000 meters above sea level, and which today is the main source of drinking water to Santiago. The place is a lush beauty. A Lake of crystal clear water, surrounded by snow-capped mountains. After the initial impact, nothing better than relaxing feeling all the peace and power of nature. For those who love photography, pleasure is indescribable. After walk about 1 hour around the Lake, we were greeted by our guide, Jorge Lizama (on Google or tripadvisor is easy to locate and recommend total), with a table of cheeses, cold cuts and fine Chilean wines. Have a picnic in a scenario like this, is priceless. A toast to life!

  • What a wonderful place!! The landscape is sensational, is indescribably be there! Very cold, wind, thermal clothing, well, gloves, warm comfortable shoes! Give a little bit of fear, but quiet. I loved and super recommend! It's too beautiful!
