Zona Austral, Punta Arenas
(2.6/5 based on 160+ reviews on the web)
Stock on up souvenirs and trip essentials at Zona Austral, a two-level shopping center. This warehouse-style mall offers deals on a huge range of products like alcohol, clothing, knives, housewares, and artwork. Somewhat disorganized, the center can be overwhelming for visitors used to upscale malls. Children will enjoy the skating rink, and a handful of restaurants are available if you grow hungry during your bargain hunt. Most shopkeepers speak English, so feel free to ask questions about their merchandise. Make Zona Austral a centerpiece of your Punta Arenas vacation itinerary, and find what else is worth visiting using our Punta Arenas tour planner.

  • The southern zone is the best option for those who want to purchase products to face the cold of Antarctica or Chilean fjords. Although it has a variety of shops of various products, clothes to face the cold are undoubtedly the best choice raised. Thermal clothing, clothes for rain and cold, gloves, hats, backpacks, shoes, tents, sleeping bags, canteens, camel back plus a plethora of things to camps. The prices are incomparable with those of Concepción, for example. Perfumes and cosmetics are also found with prices more into account than in physical stores in Brazil. Electronics: panning price as traders it is possible to purchase TV for half price from Brazil. There's a giant market that sells all priced well into account, even watches. The Mall inside the southern zone for at least 2 exchange houses (in the most adverse conditions than in Concepción for example). The food court is modest, with only fast food. Parking is ample and has no coverage. Important detail: some stores close for the 1200 and only reopened at 1500 (open at 1000 and close at 2000).

  • I was hoping to find better prices than in the center of Punta Arenas or in Santiago, and I found very similar prices... It is worth for nothing but some things (which are in liquidation), and there is lots of variety.

  • Worth a visit. Two hypermarkets and several other stores nearby.
  • not really the best when it comes to options for buying things, is not the cheapest either yet if you are searching for some technical outdoor gear they have the andesgear store where you can find some good quality things, the rest is just the usual that you find at any mall.
  • None of the other world

  • The southern mall has two great exponents such as supermarket Sánchez y Sánchez and the abu gosh. There are things novel however stand out the coffee and the you.
