Specialty Museum
Built at the turn of the 20th century, Palacio Sara Braun was once the home of a powerful Portuguese trading family. Today, the building serves as one of the top historical attractions of the city. A large part of the building's appeal lies in its Neoclassical architecture, designed by French architect Numa Mayer. Walk through the residence to observe well-preserved furniture, paintings, and other artifacts from the time of its construction. For travelers who use our international travel planner, Punta Arenas holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Palacio Sara Braun and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

  • Stood at the time in which it was erected and its environment of city in gestation at the end of the world, streets of mud, Tin, all precarious houses, the question that arises is how built this beautiful campus in that place so inhospitable. We can observe a Regal architecture, decoration and ornament of clara influence European, all in perfect state of conservation and maintenance, is a small European Palace transplanted in a corner of the square of Punta Arenas

  • located in the heart of Pta Arenas Plaza is a place that should be visited. Its entrance is cheap (1000 pesos/2 USD) and it can be complete in just 20 minutes. Very well maintained with its period furnishings. Recommended

  • A Villa that comes across as a Palace. The estate was built in the late 19.Jh. Today, the building houses a Museum and hotel and restaurant in its interior.
