Palacio Sara Braun, Punta Arenas
(4.5/5 based on 260+ reviews on the web)
Built at the turn of the 20th century, Palacio Sara Braun was once the home of a powerful Portuguese trading family. Today, the building serves as one of the top historical attractions of the city. A large part of the building's appeal lies in its Neoclassical architecture, designed by French architect Numa Mayer. Walk through the residence to observe well-preserved furniture, paintings, and other artifacts from the time of its construction. For travelers who use our international travel planner, Punta Arenas holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Palacio Sara Braun and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

  • Magnificent palace that shows the way of life of those landowners that gave life to the city. Very central square has all sorts of period ornaments.

  • Another place that you trasportara to a past glorious, full of refinement, glamour and French elegance in the heart of the city, also only Museum free and that in addition to having as main attraction was a Palace of one of the families more powerful area, also there are exhibited the bones of various animals extinct already, as the Milodon and the saber-toothed Tiger , great place

  • A Villa that comes across as a Palace. The estate was built in the late 19.Jh. Today, the building houses a Museum and hotel and restaurant in its interior.
