  • We were in the month of March, latest dates for the closure of the monument (because you already are by migrating the last penguins), are two-hour trip to the Isla Magdalena, at this time already they are nor chicks and juveniles, only adults waiting for complete change of feathers, however, believe that they were still enough. One can be only 1 hours on the island, making a circuit made to measurement of the time, following a defined path, and really that time is sufficient to traverse it and thus not bother the penguins. Anyway, I think you have to go in January, to see all the penguins before emigrating. I recommend the place, an incentive to be a good visitor, meeting the standards of the place, not approaching or touching animals or much less intervene in its road.

  • Whereas 2:00 to get 2 more hours to go back and just 1 hour of stay on the island, can be tiring, since it takes half a day, but take a closer look at these pets end up rewarding. Upon landing, you walk by a marked trail and passes through several Magellanic penguins that are there from November through April. Some are closing, others shout to protest our presence. It's a very different experience and striking. Not cheap, but I thought it was worth. Most of them are in couple, which makes it more interesting.
