Two islands off the coast of the city, Isla Magdalena y Marta feature prime viewing spots for penguins and sea lions. Several boat tour companies offer different options to visit the islands together, or you can choose to see just one or the other. Alternatively, for a lower price tourists can board the regular ferry for a five-hour round-trip, including one hour on the island. On Magdalena Island, scope out the sight of a large Magellanic penguin colony--you can get really close to them on designated paths. On Marta Island, you’ll see a large population of sea lions, as well as cormorants, Antarctic pigeons, and sea elephants. As you travel, you may even be lucky enough to spot a few whales.   • I didn't expect this type of penguins (I thought it was the Rey) a bit expensive for this visit a half day but it is worth it. Is that passed in front of the island Marta to see sea lions during 10-20 min.
