4.7/5 based on 260+ reviews on the web
Climb the area around a recently erupted volcano at Volcan Calbuco. The attraction erupted in April 2015, covering the surrounding countryside in volcanic ash. By August of the same year, officials reported the volcano alert levels of this site had returned to normal, and tourism opened to the area again. Although you cannot climb to the summit, you can explore the base to observe the snow-capped top of the mountain. You can take the cable car to ride up part of the mountain and hike from there to view lush flora; then head to the nearby lake for a swim after descending the volcano. • The Calbuco volcano looks more like a mountain (doesn't have that characteristic format, such as volcano Osorno). It is no longer possible to make day trips to the base or to the top, because the eruption of last year and the recent alerts of possible eruptions.

  • I know it was snowing, but I was surprise with the wind and cold up there. Almost all days the're a fog up there, so we didn't try the seat cables until the top. But the view until there is amazing =D
