Saltos del Petrohue, Puerto Varas
Categories: Waterfalls, Nature & Parks
Marvel at Saltos del Petrohue, a long series of waterfalls that cascade down a volcanic rock chute. Backed by the prominent Osorno Volcano, the falls tumble from pool to pool formed by the region's distinctive black basalt formations, beginning in the Petrohue River and ending in Todos los Santos lake. Explore the lushly forested surroundings, fed by the clear waters of the river. You can even try your hand at kayaking or rafting on certain sections of the falls with a guided tour. Faltó tiempo porque estábamos en el tour de regreso a Bariloche con los minutos contados. No pudimos realizar el trayecto del Sendero hacia la Laguna. She missed time because we were on the tour's return to Bariloche with numbered minutes. We could not make the path of the path towards the Lake.show original
The falls weren't very great in my opinion, coming from Pacific Northwest of the USA. Additionally the last bit of trail leading to the falls was closed but this information wasnt mentioned anywhere in the town, before we took a 45 bus to the falls. Since the waterfall isn't too high/tall, we couldn't get a good view of the water fall with the last portion of the trail closed.
Overcrowded. Underwhelming. Overhiped
You must to make a stop here for this wonderful sight

Karito MartinezIt is a very nice place, natural beauties. Years ago had much more water, today is very dry, is a pity that the climatic changes. However, skew is a nice place to visit, and it is best that you do not pay input.show original
