Glacier Grey, Puerto Natales

(4.6/5 based on 1,300+ reviews on the web)
See the tip of the expansive Patagonian ice fields at Glacier Grey. Flowing towards a lake of the same name, the glacier creates an imposing ice wall, which you can view from aboard a tour boat. Reserve tickets for your trip in advance, as spots sell out quickly and it's difficult to visit the glacier as an independent traveler, unless you're willing to hike in. If you do choose to embark on the trek, you can camp at grounds near the glacier and enjoy stunning views when you wake up the next morning. Take a look at our Puerto Natales itinerary builder to schedule your visit to Glacier Grey and learn about what else to see and do during your holiday.

  • A great disappointment, after 18 years this scenario has changed much. The glacier has reversed pretty, practically already not is visible from the shore. The guide said that it was not a good date to see the glacier, it is best in the month of September. Pity, I was very sad to see how this wonderful place has changed.

  • The glacier is located in Torre del paine park and one needs some time to walk through the park to see it. It is also accessible by boat, but this is a bit pricy.
