3.1/5 based on 1,300+ reviews on the web
Stare into the jagged-toothed mouth of Cueva del Milodon and find out if you have the courage to enter a mysterious cave. A natural monument, the 200 m (656 ft) long cave stands out not so much for its scenic beauty, but for its archeological importance. It was here that the best-preserved remains of the mylodon, a genus of giant sloth that became extinct more than 10,000 years ago, were found. Weighing in at over 2,500 kg (5,511 lb), the beast would have made for an intimidating foe. Look out for the life-size statue of the enormous ground sloth, built in memory of the discovery. • The cave is very nice, however, to achieve greater interest and learning in our history would add you more visual material with regard to as existed at that time

  • It is a nice and obviously interesting place, however, I think that you could get more out as a tourist attraction. We had no guide, so all the information that we had was that there was in the path, which was not much. Noteworthy is that the day we went, the baths were closed, which can pose a problem. Even so, is a must if going to Puerto Natales.
