We made the trip to the Cerro Dorotea on horseback, with Mr. Adan Walls, very nice of the rural region. The ride was hired at the hotel where we were, and it was a great opportunity, both for the ride as the view you have from the top of Cerro, in the city of Puerto Natales and the region.

The walk is + or-1:30 just climb through the grazing sheep and cows (no different from other walks in the pathogenic region) at the top the view is beautiful, view of the city and the surrounding mountains. The best of the tour is the lady who explains how to climb to the top and in the back offers a coffee or tea with sweet biscuits and cheese. Really nice wanting everyone to be pleased ... points for her.

Simple walk of one hour to reach the top, the view is fabulous! You can see the city of Puerto Natales, the señoret channel, the hills surrounding and in the background the Monte Balmaceda, really is a very good choice to make in half a day, the way to reach the entrance of the trail is through taxi, walking or cycling from Natales (5 km) and once you get there you have to pay an entry , but if the day is well worth paying it and enjoy of walks it and views. Highly recommended

Where to stay in Puerto Natales (Torres del Paine)

Despite Puerto Natales' tourist-centric approach, accommodations remain as low-key as the town itself, and many backpackers and trekkers opt to stay in the numerous small lodges and hostels here. These shared spaces feature extremely basic facilities, though combined with cozy common areas and the friendliness of family-run establishments. Many of these hostels are also more than willing to arrange travel if you want to set out into the mountains. As in many of the nation's outdoor-adventure hubs, Puerto Natales' lodging options tend to offer lower rates during the low season.
