(3/5 based on 170+ reviews on the web)
Visit Plaza de Armas de Puerto Montt to take in many of Santiago's sights in a single place. The square, inaugurated in 1541, forms the center of Santiago's original grid layout. Around it you'll find many museums, a major cathedral, and further examples of 16th- to 18th-century architecture. Consider hiring a tour guide of this area to really appreciate its historical significance. Due to the density of the nearby attractions, expect the square to be bustling. • Disillusion stroll downtown Puerto Montt, I expected more toilet a better careful city. The completely dirty coast, hopefully better.

  • A super quiet, good place to sit down, read a book or simply relax. Has good bars and restaurants close by.

  • The city center is traversed in a short walk, the picturesque are the stands of many different products for sale. The city is not pretty, except for the view to the estuary of the Reloncaví.

  • While it is quite hard (much concrete) attracts many people, thus serves well its purpose.
