  • I visited a few weeks ago, even though he had been in some sectors had not crossed any of the trails in its entirety. I was cycling from Coñaripe, the ascent is constant and a few kms. After the hot corner is the entrance. To continue on the path they begin to appear the first araucarias, there are many sizes and it is spectacular to look up and see the Araucaria project itself into the sky. To about 500 mt. the input is the stand of the Conaf, where given indication of the paths and paid $3,000. In my opinion, is a little high price that must be paid. The road continues through the forest of monkey-puzzle trees and various trails can be accessed, this road goes to Palguín, 35 km. from Pucón, but must be 4 x 4. I I went into the path to the Pichillancahue glacier, from the wheelhouse is 4 km to the start of the trail, and from that point, 4.2 km up to the glacier. It is a path surrounded by araucarias, pretty locked in some sectors and constant rise. Done by bicycle, as it was my case costs in some sectors and have to move on foot at times. It is a pedestrian path, so if you bike must be respectful with pedestrians and the vegetation, to avoid skidding to erode the land or pass to take the trees. After passing the Araucaria forest, the trail is opened, the landscape becomes more "volcanic", is still skirting the river and you can see several volcanoes, such as the Rucapillan, Villarrica, Mocho Choshuenco and others. After about 2 km. you will reach the glacier, which to a large extent is covered by pebbles or volcanic ash, but still stands out ice protruding from the walls. It is a wonderful place, a quiet and wonderful vegetation that is worth visiting. It is of moderate difficulty, there are points to draw water and the trail is marked as it progresses.

  • Specifically what you should visit (by the free, as there are Chileans or 30usd Caverns tour x $18,000 pesos) are the craters volcanic, that are located on a 4km trail with a delay of about 40 min walk around... You end up with an exceptional view of the Lake Villarrica, in addition to the skirts of the volcano same name... it's exciting to be in those ducts carrying lava Grill thousands of years...

  • It is a large park with many entries, with my family we entered in the base of the volcano in winter there is much snow kilometers from the entrance, people can take pictures and play without any problems if you want to follow up, snow or warm clothing is necessary , as you Ascend has wonderful views of the city. You can rent bit to ski and climb to the ski lifts, that Yes value is as any Center.
