  • The full trail can be hard for those who have the habit of doing this kind of activity. Early on there's plenty of climb and it is a constant during the return journey. The total time revolves around 3hrs of 1:45 hrs trip back a step and with quick stops, so if you need to make in a slow and with many stops or lengthy stops, it is important to start the trail early. As is to take advantage of the beautiful landscapes and the beautiful glacier.

  • This Park has intensity medium for those who want to do trekking, there is a stretch of effort, but when you reach the end, the scenery is so beautiful that it is worth, there is a campsite next to the entrance and is cheap and safe.

  • We were in doubt, but when we arrived and saw the extraordinary beauty of the place. Don't nominate for children because the walk is quite heavy. The first two kms are the worst, but there are 11 paid about of 5mil input weights, as was the rate for tourist. Has agencies mtas that do this kind of ride, but charge expensive. We were on our own and we took the bus MB-72 that leaves at 7:30 Metrobuses Terminal Bellavista la Florida, connected to the subway. But beware because the metro on Sundays and holidays from 8:00, so we had to catch a bus to the terminal Bellavista la Florida. The bus MB-72 only comes out on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. Pay 8000 pesos (round trip) for each one. The bus back to Santiago at 6:00 pm, so you have to pay attention at times. (a walk in the Park is signposted and has on-site and tourists travelling can do without Guide. Just go with water, light, food, clothing and comfortable shoes protector).

  • Absolutely loved this hike please add this to your itinerary while in Chile. Bring some good boots, hiking poles will help for sure. I can't wait to go back!!
  • Just wow! Must visit, if you are in Santiago! Great unspoiled spot just in couple of hours or so ride from Santiago. Easily accessible without pricey tours - there are several buses running, including regular (every day in summer time; weekends - in winter time) MetroBus MB-72 (starts from Terminal Bellavista de La Florida at 7:30; starts back to Santiago from Banos Morales at 18:00, 8K pesos per person for roundtrip). Hike is relatively easy, compared to Cerro Pochoco/ Cerro Manquehue and involves almost no climbing; takes around 8 KM from the start of the route (Baños Morales) to end of the route (Glaciar San Francisco). 5-6 hours should be enough for roundtrip (including some time for bird watching, flowersniffing and enjoying great scenery). Be sure to have plenty of water (2 liters per person worked in our case), hiking shoes, sunscreen (little to no shade on the route).
  • Great place for mountain trekking, gorgeous views, great chance to see the glacier even during the summer.
  • Very easy trekking for children and adults. With a 2 hour hike you will reach the laguna Morales. with 45 minutes to the San Francisco glacier... Along the way you'll find varied and unique flora. You are served by a very friendly birds that tell them cometocinos bring water drink and snack bar for the road. Shoes trekking, block, glasses, Sun Hat Sun or cold depending on time (covering the ears... the Andean wind is very strong wind if you arrive at the glacier... at this point temperature changes significantly
