Reserva Nacional Malalcahuello, Malalcahuello

(4.8/5 based on 110+ reviews on the web)
Survey the volcanic charcoal landscapes of Reserva Nacional Malalcahuello, a desert panorama reminiscent of the Sahara but with more of an ash like, dark appearance stretching for 303 sq km (116 sq mi). The two hour trek shows the best facets of the national park, though longer trails are available. Take plenty of water along as the desert like conditions here make it very hot. 4X4s can be rented for those who would prefer not to traverse the uphill volcano ascent by foot. • This slope is a place very little visited tourist destinations despite its great natural beauty since from his way unique and extensive forests of araucarias that impinge upon any observer can see. Fortunately the road still not has been paved entirely which gives it one even greater landscape Majesty and maintains somehow insulation and conservation of the area. Is can make the circuit from Curacautín crossing the tunnel the estate and returning is by the costs after visit the village mountain of Lonquimay or to the reverse. In previous years the pehuenches children ran from little cottages of the road to offer complete sprockets for tourists. This time that already not occurred to me.
