  • The walk up to the waterfalls and 3000 year old tree is delightful. Shady well maintained paths in virgin woodland. There’s just two things to prepare for - it’s a 7km dirt track approach and when we ...  more »
  • This is one of my favorite Park in Chile since it is not so well known and this little intervened, although it is very close to Puerto Montt. I've been twice and have entered by the side of the austral highway. The camping area is very nice and the path to the Lake triangle is incredible. This lagoon is locked in high walls is spectacular. The trail despite being long does not have greater difficulty.

  • National Park located a few miles from Puerto Montt, amid a forest of Alerces (pine type). There are several hiking trails, some of several Kms, with rivers and lakes. Worth knowing. The ideal is to rent a car, take food and drink and spend the day.

  • Beautiful trekking experience, amazing place to visit and get close to nature's splendor.
  • Great place to visit. We were staying in Puerto Varas and drove there via Puerto Montt, the last few kilometers it's a gravel road. The entrance fee for foreigners is 4000 per person, for Chileans it's half price as usual in Chile. The park itself apparently got a big makeover and all the pathes that are opened do have almost new boardwalks. Unfortunately, the path to Laguna Frio is not opened as there are is still maintainence to be done. Then walk to Laguna Sargoza was very worth the trip and the view was just great. We stayed there for about an hour and enjoyed the solitude. The whole time we were in the park we just met two other people.
  • Nice park. We walked to the Alerce Milenario, a very old growth cedar 12ft in diameter and very tall. Nice trail with many Tapaculos calling. This was from the southern entrance. It has a small campground and rough but doable 5 mile road in.
  • awesome hike. must do. it'd be nice if they fixed the bridge to continue the hike though.
  • Awesome
