Saltos del Laja, Los Angeles

(3.9/5 based on 170+ reviews on the web)
Walk across the bridge for views from above Saltos del Laja, where a set of four horseshoe-shaped waterfalls sit side by side along a total width of 455 m (1,492 ft). The easternmost fall is the tallest cascade here, plunging from a total height of 35 m (114 ft). Because of the site's popularity with local and foreign tourists alike, a number of souvenir stands and restaurants have set up shop a stone's throw from the main attraction, so options for grabbing a bite to eat are plentiful. • It is a group of waterfalls, some of more than 20 meters which at other times must have been very beautiful but unfortunately visual contamination (posters, warnings, etc) is now so large that they lose appeal. Equally if dried out there...

  • to access the Saltos del laja it has to pay toll of $600 for light vehicles, access this very marked is easy to get, there is the option to reach the top of jumps in auto, know if there are costs associated with that, I recommend walking and make the journey on foot. The entrance to the falls is free, the road is surrounded by business of crafts and food, unfortunately that creates dirt from people who do not respect and boot garbage on the road, a shame, another negative point is that the place where water flows a kind of laguna is not suitable for bathroom and people bathing equal. But the natural landscape is cute and is a must stop if anda near Los Angeles, access is by route 5 as going to conception.

  • The council run camping site is adequate and there are small convenience kiosks within the grounds which offer basic food and drink items. The bathroom facilities could use some more hygiene and maintenance attention, but other than that it's a nice and economic place to camp.
  • Amazing spot, came here for early morning photos which was a waste in the morning fog which I feel would be a fairly consistent event
  • Depending on the season the waterfall may be disappointing. Everything around it is only active during weekends and vacation time.
  • pretty nice waterfall. if you to off season (not in January/February), you can enjoy the beauty almost alone.
  • Vista Hermosa somewhere cheap to eat cute picnic places
