  • It's a very entertaining activity for all those who would like to silence, to appreciate the flora and fauna of the sector. I personally enjoyed riding along the marked trail to get to the top and have a spectacular view of the Valley. It is highly recommended. Don Marcelo, the Guide, gave us, my girlfriend and me, clear and precise instructions regarding the care that we should have. He also told us about wildlife that you can see. In short, this ride was one of the best activities we did in La Serena.

  • We did route Punta del Cerro, and although he had not walked before horse, it was great and fun. The guide will explain everything and let you be in good quiet part of the ride. Stroll relaxing and wonderful to forget your troubles for a while. As we do not have a car, we went by bus (via Elqui Valley) and got off at Los Arrayanes where we walk app 850 metres to the farm (following Google Maps because it can be confusing). We were eager to return!

Where to stay in La Serena

La Serena provides a varied selection of sleeping options, with the area between the main bus station and the town center featuring at least one hostel on every street. Despite this abundance of lodgings, many hotels book up fast at the height of the tourist season (summer: January-February), and some refuse visitors on single-night stays. If you're looking for the ultimate in space and comfort, consider renting a furnished apartment on the coastline.
