  • It is quite bizarre to come across a small rainforest on the edge of semi arid desert! From the dry heat to instantly walking into clouded forest seems completely surreal. I think I liked it! Worth th...  more »
  • A special park where you can observe the phenomenon of low clouds that rise from the sea and carry water to vegetation in an area of poor rains, keeping alive a valdiviano forest. Beautiful and special.

  • Is pending the visit to the Park Fray Jorge because punctured some km before arriving. So two notices: there is that makes 28 km of dirt road, therefore checked the tyres because if they are not in good condition you can spend them the same. Also review the schedule of the Park because it closes to the 16.30, so it is unadvisable to visit in the afternoon. It is about 100 km to the South of Coquimbo, on Highway 5 and there deviates. The signs are good. Also, I added a couple of photos. The view, among the hills, is very cute.

  • No doubt impresses find a forest Valdivia in the middle of an ecosystem semi-desert. A relict forest, nurtured by the camanchaca, impresses. This microclimate, soil, forest Moss... Act as a sponge, capable of sustaining many other contiguous to this species. Nearby, streams, shelter a huge diversity of species both flora and fauna, with a high degree of endemism. It has a path for people with different abilities. Excellent facilities and infrastructure. It is very important to consider reviewing website, hours and days which is open in the respective seasons.

  • The forested part is very tiny, for someone who is South (conce South) I do not think it worthwhile. For those who are more than the North may be more advisable
