Enchanted Valley (Valle del Encanto), La Serena

(4.1/5 based on 85+ reviews on the web)
Survey the ancient petroglyphs at Enchanted Valley (Valle del Encanto), featuring designs carved into rocks over 2,500 years ago. These ruins represent an excellent example of Molle pre-Columbian archaeology and provide some evidence of a hunter-gatherer civilization that existed over 4,000 years ago. Take a guided tour to bring the trip alive with stories and insight into the region and its history. The trail to the ruins is easy and accessible enough; still, you should wear sturdy boots to navigate the less well-maintained gravel road. Make Enchanted Valley (Valle del Encanto) a part of your La Serena vacation plans using our La Serena tour planner.

  • I went to Ovalle to a Martin and led me to this beautiful valley archaeological although by river is almost dry drought still there is enough vegetation with many hieroglyphs and also do some sort of "Cups" among the rocks I really liked but if you are missing a sign that explains what each hieroglyph and cups something history so that indigenous people which was their function occupied them , that ceremonies were in this place, how they lived, etc. What if rescue is that the place was very clean and also has an area for picnicking recommend it
