  • 87 kms from La Serena and immersed in the Elqui Valley is this international observatory whose 8 domes are released into the sky to 2200 meters above sea level. A moment to soak up science, technology and astronomical knowledge. Bring drinks and sandwiches, also windproof, it's cold inside the facilities. You can admire the landscape from above. Authorization of access, which is not easy to obtain by the great demand requires. Is required to get it in the offices of AURA with great anticipation

  • An experience unforgettable. In a place privileged by nature, the day the Observatory visit is more than recommended. The guides are "master classes" and respond with clarity and detail questions.

  • I was quite a while ago and came back to go this year joining one friends who had not had the opportunity to go. It is a very magical place, you can see several stars and enjoy even without having to look through the telescope. As Council prefer to go in low season, there are usually enough people and times are scarce.
