Where to stay in La Serena

La Serena provides a varied selection of sleeping options, with the area between the main bus station and the town center featuring at least one hostel on every street. Despite this abundance of lodgings, many hotels book up fast at the height of the tourist season (summer: January-February), and some refuse visitors on single-night stays. If you're looking for the ultimate in space and comfort, consider renting a furnished apartment on the coastline.

  • Very very old stone Cathedral. Mass is celebrated daily, and of course there are mass on Sundays. The side runs the Archbishopric.
