It is located in the Plaza of arms of La Serena. In its interior, which is dominated by the marble and clear tones, presents three vaults, adorned with paintings that were never finished and still empty spaces can be seen. Beautiful altar.

It is a very quiet place which you can visit with peace of mind, the only thing I would criticize this place is that there are always people at the entrance asking for money or even after selling patches and things so... lack of social culture or respect for the emblematic places in the city...

Very very old stone Cathedral. Mass is celebrated daily, and of course there are mass on Sundays. The side runs the Archbishopric.

Where to stay in La Serena

La Serena provides a varied selection of sleeping options, with the area between the main bus station and the town center featuring at least one hostel on every street. Despite this abundance of lodgings, many hotels book up fast at the height of the tourist season (summer: January-February), and some refuse visitors on single-night stays. If you're looking for the ultimate in space and comfort, consider renting a furnished apartment on the coastline.
