4.6/5 based on 320+ reviews on the web
Adventure across an area of protected coastal and mountainous landscapes at Chiloe National Park. This 431 sq km (166 sq mi) park was established in 1982 to protect areas covered by Valdivian temperate rainforest. Explore thickly forested sections featuring perennials, shrubs, and climbers, or take a hike in the foothills of the Chilean Coastal Range, with plenty of challenging and easier walks to choose from. If you want to spot wildlife, the coastal areas are your best bet--there, you can observe a local population of blue whales and river otters. • It is an excellent natural attraction to disconnect from the city, which is located on the West coast of the island, looking squarely into the Pacific, the Cucao path is very nice, in its final stretch is going along Lake Huillinco and Cucao, as for the park itself, has several trails both inland and onto the beach , where is can appreciate different birds and if is has luck even is can appreciate pudus, the trails are very well marked and the idea is not exit is of them. in my case it was a little hurry because I went in the afternoon, so I recommend going by throughout the day and thus mostly, enjoy also in Cucao there some restaurants where to recover the energies of the walk.

  • It is a place where protected species of fauna, such as the zorro chilote. On the other hand, it has abundant and varied vegetation. It has many hiking trails by him which can move, in my opinion the most beautiful trail is the one that lies close to the Lake. It is a path with wood road and surrounds much of the Park, it is so natural that they do not intervene in the growth of the trees, so along the path you have to be careful with the branches, roots, even with the same trunks. Also along this trail you can find different viewpoints. In the Centre of the park there is a museum that speaks of culture huilliche, models and illustrations. It is a green place, where you can camp, and admission is 2000.
