Terminal Agropecuario de Iquique - Region de Tarapaca, Iquique
(3.1/5 based on 180+ reviews on the web)
Extending over four city blocks, the market at Terminal Agropecuario de Iquique - Region de Tarapaca focuses mainly on fresh agricultural products. The market also sells meat and fish in its food section, while other areas contain restaurants and retail stores. While the layout often overwhelms visitors, merchants are more than happy to help out with directions and tips about what to see and buy. Expect prices to be a bit lower than in the rest of the city. • It is a very good place to buy fruits, vegetables and Peruvian seasonings, very well attended, the stalls of fruits and vegetables are a work of art, everything very clean and tidy, you can find fruit like mango, guava, passion fruit at good prices, you also find the typical olives of azapa, sold meat and things for the home, among other things that there can be found with paid parking.

  • This is a panorama ideal for them people lovers of places that are are out of those circuits tourist. This market is like the Vega de Santiago (on smaller scale), there are many varieties of fruits and vegetables in the area, which makes it very attractive (at least for those who like to discover new products). Within the fruits I emphasize handles Pica (much more sweet that we know in the South), guavas and Papaya from the Peru. As for vegetables, Caihua, a delicious superfood for salads; olives also must try them. If it is a Chilean tourist, bring your recyclable bag and buy what you can bring on the plane!, you won't regret it.
