Anakena Beach, Easter Island
(4.8/5 based on 1,700+ reviews on the web)
At Anakena Beach, stand in awe of the mighty "ahu" sculptures that have watched over mysterious Easter Island for centuries. Legend has it that the beach was the landing place of Hotu Matu'a, the tribal chief who arrived on the island with a party of two canoes, settling the territory. Examine the striking facial features of these sculptures, which date from between 1250 and 1500 CE. After you've appreciated the staggering history and the powerful monoliths, enjoy the white coral sand and lapis lazuli waters of the beach. • It is the other end of the island from Hangaroa (approx. 20 minutes by car). It is a very nice beach, with good weather. An entry with grass which then turns into sand. The temperature of the water in my opinion is welcome: neither very cold nor very hot. CAUTION: Wear sunscreen. To me I forgot to throw me in some sides, and never insolé me so much in my life as this time (I am now writing to sunstroke, lol). The Sun is very strong.

  • Beach of white sands, warm and crystalline waters where you can enjoy the warm climate and fish-filled waters... Heavenly place with restaurants, restrooms ($500), parking, ideal to go with your couple, family or alone. Paya without large waves and a pier from where you can dive into their water or snorkel and see its abundant fauna marina

The white colour of the sand, waters the mohais give the perfect touch... so much so that we repeat 4 times... If you must take a taxi to go and then you removed at the agreed time.
