(4.7/5 based on 550+ reviews on the web)
Get a close look at three altars of the Moai when you visit Ahu Tahai. The attraction actually encompasses all three altars of Moai that are close together and near the village of Orongo, all found in a large green field. Take time to sit on the grass and relax after your day on the island. Try to visit at sunset for the best photographic moments of the altars and the sea. • The only character with eyes on the island. You can reach this AHU on foot, he is in the vicinity of the present cemetery. The sea is directly next to it. Already alone so there must have been. Otherwise a very interesting place, but visit with a professional guide, because the stories, are just amazing. The MOAI is great and you can close.

  • Anyone visiting the island can not go without spending an afternoon at Tahai. It is a large courtyard covered with grass and fast access from Hanga Roa, on foot or by bike. You can also go by car. Some say that it was one of the first areas in being populated, so lots of archaeological remains can be found. Chicken coops, also the typical there åhus (ceremonial platforms on which the MOAI sit), "boat House" (it is the oval structure of stone); You can also see an artificial ramp that leads to the Sea (no sandy beach) and where did get canoes to the water. It is a place to enjoy watching the sunset, watching the rays of the Sun through the moais, with clouds in the background. For the river plate, carry the Thermo and mate, since it is ideal for a picnic, watching the sunset. If the ride is made of day, it can continue walking a little more to get to the anthropological museum.
