  • This beautiful church is located across the Plaza de Armas of Coyhaique. It is a simple Church and has a very rustic appearance that impresses. The doors are wood, native trees. Inside the ship is curious, has 3 large windows and side domes. One of the windows is enormous and rather than glasses, acrylic has multicolored simulated stained glass window and give it a special color. The Fund has a wooden cross, the Tabernacle and the Virgen de Los Dolores. The altar which is located to the Center and in front of the cross is also of wood, and is incredibly simple. Many churches that we have visited, this is different and the stranger. However, it is the most important architectural monument of Coyhaique and thus worthy of visit.

  • On the instance of my landlady, I went to mass in the Cathedral. I was pleasantly surprised because I'm a fervent unbelieving. A group of musicians comprised of guitarists and other stringed instruments officiates during the mass. The faithful participate actively, the atmosphere is friendly, warm, and very fraternal when, at the end, you are asked to embrace people who surround you. This gave me a sense of belonging to a community never felt so far. Last moment when, at the exit of the Cathedral, the priest greets one by one all the participants to the ceremony shaking the hand. A great time! out of the office, on Sunday at noon it is possible to attend the ceremonial parade on the Plaza of armas by soldiers of the garrison of Coyhaique and attended by many residents with as much fervor as the Cathedral.

  • Coyhaique Cathedral is located in the plaza de armas, place where one can feel the peace and tranquility. In addition to staying well maintained and decorated.

  • Simple, perhaps the most interesting is that it is a social venue as well as place of prayer.

Most options remain close to the river on the western side of town, where you can find a range of hotels and guesthouses.
