Totoralillo, Coquimbo

(3.9/5 based on 420+ reviews on the web)
Unwind on a 2 km (1.2 mi) stretch of coastline at Totoralillo, a sandy beach offering a wealth of attractions. This small peninsula is divided in two by a row of rocks and a few businesses set in suitably rustic huts. Either side of the divide, the sand is golden and the water blue. You can try your hand at many different water sports here, with rental shacks in the central divide. Search the rockier areas for marine life, with crabs, shells, and starfish all to be found in the rock pools. For Totoralillo and beyond, use our Coquimbo itinerary planner to get the most from your Coquimbo vacation.

  • Beautiful setting, very natural, as compared to other beaches that are most surrounded by buildings. The water sooo clean, turquoise waves entretidas and not very high. You can get well in without danger, but always with caution. The water is very cold; perfect for a very hot day. There are enough parking lots whose values range between $2000 and $3000. To get from Coquimbo and La Serena, a bus may be heading to Tongoy, indicating to the driver that one is low in Totoralillo; to then walk 25 minutes to the same beach. There are kiosks where to buy sweets, in addition to jobs where to buy ceviches (which already in March were not enabled).

  • Beautiful beach, calm waters, ideal for enjoying the sea, especially if you go with children. There are places to eat at good prices and you can of course not stop eating oyster or crab empanadas. You must cancel if you're going by car, the value is $3,000 per day
