Cruz Del Tercer Milenio, Coquimbo

(3.9/5 based on 480+ reviews on the web)
Admire the artistry of Cruz Del Tercer Milenio, a striking structure that remains one of the tallest landmarks in all of South America. Built by the Catholic Church between 1999 and 2001, the 93 m (305 ft) tall cross was designed to mark the start of the new millennium, an important date in the Christian faith. The cross juts out impressively from a triangular prism base that disappears into the rocky hill beneath it. The three-tiered base includes a museum detailing the creation of the monument, a level dedicated to prayer, and a viewing platform. • Is a symbol pin of Coquimbo, a structure impressive from outside but that disappoints a little to the travel it. The viewpoint of arms could be spectacular but glasses dirty or poorly designed spaces make sure visitors are warmly a little. Elevators small and any other via of access / exit dan fear the price is moderate

  • Very nice place, price accessible. The very bad surroundings that Yes. It is advisable to go in particular locomotion. The panoramic, breathtaking.

  • In my particular view is an excellent viewpoint, beyond the concrete structure that actually not denotes something tasteful, if you want to see the surrounding area from a point of optimal location this is the place (although payment) good intentions with little room for parking and access should be better signposted.

  • Beautiful architecture and beautiful landscape but I didn't like that the have so many valuables when they could finish off and improve the city and instead put objects in the area.

  • It is definitely a place to visit if you're in the fourth region. There is a wonderful view of the Bay and you'll see in addition, Coquimbo and la Serena from the height.
