  • We live in the coastal desert and often went to the Highlands to discover some new corner. We stayed in Colchane and walk from there. The sense that always accompanies our journey to the Highlands, is that of AWE, from the understanding that we are going through the driest desert in the world, after a few hours, we find plains covered with colours, ochre robes, green, and lilaceos. The Park Isluga, these plains give way to wetlands and little lagoons where you can see animals in the area feeding or drinking water. The spectacle is sublime and I commend it at dawn.

  • We could have spent four weeks in this national part in the Atacama Desert in the north of Chile, instead of eight hours. But what a day, all the wild life conceivable, from condors to pelicans, from ...  more »
  • Isluga is a mystical and attractive place. The beauty of the village is the Church and its surroundings, the Church to bring evil, is not to keep it much. Lack of interest of the authorities to maintain this heritage. We didn't see many people, only three people. Very little movement feels. You should go with time. I recommend to stay in Colchane for at least three days to explore all corners of the industry.
