  • The most famous historical street in Chonchi. The town is small, filled with history and lovely people. Small post office, bars, markets and hotels are around the center.  more »
  • Yes, it has one of the many churches on the island (see separate review) and also a quite nice waterfront. A few shops and a post office where you can use the rather dirty toilet for 0.100 CHP.  more »
  • Chonchi is known as the city of the three floors. There are several versions for this denomination. We would like to stick with one that gave the name to have been built on the slope of a hill where there are three terraces. The most controversial of the versions says that this name comes from the social separation that was formed in the early days of the city, to segregate it, according to the economic level of its inhabitants, into three classes. Perhaps a combination of both. The truth is that, at present, Chonchi is one of the cities that is projected with force on the island, trying to preserve the delicate balance between modern architecture and the rich heritage.
