The legend; for many, but many years ago, when the beautiful town of Puerto Tranquilo was just a bright Flash dropped from the sky, earthly inhabitants were perfectly capable of living in full harmony with all magical beings that lived in the depths of Lake General Carrera. They have the locals than a night of winter, a fisherman from shooting stars sighted the loveliest star never seen until then and this was heading directly towards the Lake. Without even thinking, the fisherman, unleashed mooring jetty and was in his capture. The star upon contact with the icy waters of the Lake, unleashed such Flash luminescence, that all the inhabitants of Puerto Tranquilo agree that that night was never brighter view. Fisher was the only one to see how the multicolored star fall from the sky was a large halo of light transforming all the way hard and colorful marble. All descent until now Rocky, in fraction of seconds had become firm marble. The fisherman, spellbound by that show threw into the sea to try to decipher the magical and wonderful moment that had just witnessed. When you reach the depths of the Lake, a star of a thousand colors illuminated throughout the bottom of the Lake in a feast of colours ever invented. Accelerated pulse to the fisherman, his heart seemed to explode with ecstasy when he looked at her in the eyes. She approached him and told him; Puerto tranquilo, was the place chosen to live together the land, waters and now the sky. However, should pass a tough test: one year the fisherman should build a chapel on the hard marble and a path that would serve as the connection between heaven and Earth. Once passed that year, the portals open to connect the three spaces. 365 days was the fisherman carving in the cold marble, day after day, night after night without rest, with the only hope to conquer the love of star. When the time was fulfilled, colorful marble caverns are intertwined in perfect harmony preventing clearly define where the sky began and where it ended the waters. Mirrors turquoise reflected the stars and these in turn shaped the image of inhabitants of the Lake. You have completed the task, said the star. Not have built only a chapel, but also the most perfect Cathedral and taking the fisherman's hand could not contain her tears before the imposing spectacle. Tears were rolling down her cheeks rising it was heaven and were forming clusters of happy tears that some today called stalactites. That same night, through the heart of one of the chapels, which until today you can visit, the star and the fisherman joined forever. The old people, are that today thousands of pilgrims reach the chapels of marble waiting can be found in some of the caves, the portal which can lead them to this conjunction. If you know to look with the soul, you can perceive the inhabitants of the sky and waters that are directed by tunnels to any of the hundreds of porches. Thousands of lovers, come year after year to traverse the heart of Cathedral, because if souls are bound one to the other at the end of a year will remain together... forever.

Stunning geological formations, impossible to describe, a must-see attraction for anyone who is a nature lover. To the nearest village (Puerto Quiet River) of work, but worth it.

Safety pin! If you are traveling in winter, make sure you go in a car with two-wheel drive, tyres with nails and strings, especially if you go more to the South on the road. To get to the chapels, there are no problems, in Pto. Quiet there are cottages to stay, so you can enjoy leisurely hoods tour
