Playa la virgen, Caldera

(3.8/5 based on 260+ reviews on the web)
Stranded on the coast in the middle of desert dunes and hills, Playa la virgen attracts visitors with its white sand and calm turquoise waters. A bit remote and difficult to access, this pristine beach focuses on ecotourism. Pick a place on a wooden sun lounger under a straw umbrella, or bring your own beach equipment. If you wish to stay overnight, rent one of the wooden cabins in the surrounding hills overlooking the beach. Amenities include public restrooms, a spacious parking lot, and a restaurant. Bring cash and prepare to spend a day without mobile phone service. See Playa la virgen and all Caldera has to offer by arranging your trip with our Caldera vacation route planner.

  • The beach itself is very nice, the waters are clear and the sand is fine. It is small and much filling in summer, access is difficult for someone that you don't know how to get there. To the be a beach concession charge ten thousand pesos by entering with the vehicle. This money helps to have life and that the beach is very clean. There is option of lease of moto of water and rides in banana. It has public baths and there is a restaurant, although expensive. It is advisable to go for the day and take things to eat.

  • The beach is very cute, soft sands and crystal clear waters. However this far and if you go by car (also becomes in a tour bus) must pay 10,000 pesos to enter it otherwise you must leave it 1 km away up where or have any kind of supervision. In the place there are only 2 shops, restaurant and kiosk (both expensive) and to use the bathrooms will be charged 500 pesos each time.
