  • San Miguel de Azapa Museum has as main attraction historical and cultural, the Chinchorro mummies. The Museum under the auspices of the University of Tarapacá and remains in the village of Azapa, Center a few kilometers from Arica. It is easy to reach, since there are raxis of continuous travel at a modest price. The Museum counts with around 20 display where you can see the culture chinchorra in terms of housing, rituals, culture and a special area for the best preserved in the world mummies belonging to times before the Egypt. It is a great experience. Suggestion to go with a guide or have guides at this place.
