Laguna Cejar, Antofagasta

Categories: Bodies of Water, Nature & Parks
Inspirock Rating:
3.7/5 based on 500+ reviews on the web
Travel the salt flats to arrive at Laguna Cejar, a sink hole filled with water. This hole in the desert now serves as a unique swimming hole due to its high salt content, allowing for swimmers to easily float on the surface. Be sure to bring your own fresh water to rinse off with afterward, or take advantage of the showers that can be found on the site. Once you get out, take time to view the Andes mountains in the distance or remain until after dark for a clear view of the nighttime sky. • The entrance is very expensive, 95% of the profits go to indigenous peoples. The place has not closed or with hot water showers. It has several baths but the lady who keeps them only lets you use two, the person charged the entrance is very unfriendly and has not returned and challenges you that. By removing all the lagoon is spectacular, very cute and unique characteristics. You have as much salt as the dead sea that can float even if you do not want. That is sooo cold, only 8° C and NO sunscreen can be used in the body! Only in the face. Coming out to not ruin your swimsuit wash it with warm water, so the salt dissolves and is not hard as cardboard.

  • This is a very expensive place, for foreigners and Chilean, $15.000 Chilean pesos is an abusive fee. Sernatur and Corfo should regulate the commercial use of this humanity patrimony.
  • Maybe the place is wonderful but collect 15000 per person is insane! Do so encourage domestic tourism? Or you can just enter tourists with a lot of money. Really outrageous, attention to get dreadful, very unpleasant person one feels almost like an intruder. Ask a manager who was and answered me that Atacama community, really we are discriminated against, that evil!
