Museo Andino, Alto Jahuel
(4.5/5 based on 140+ reviews on the web)
A big bonus to visiting a local winery, Museo Andino details the history of the area and its people. The museum displays artifacts from various pre-Columbian civilizations, including textiles, metalwork, pottery, and leather. Descriptions of the exhibited works are helpfully displayed in English, so you won't have to break out your phrase book. Tours of the winery and museum can be combined in a single ticket as an affordable way of seeing two of the area's major attractions. A visit to Museo Andino represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Alto Jahuel vacation trip planner to plot your vacation.

  • Easily accessible by any means of transport, is a museum with an interesting collection although not so extensive, the place itself is cozy at any time of year (air-conditioned) with charge very well-informed and friendly people, this plan for tourism because all information is in English and Spanish, also has outdoor gardens that allow rest and eat a snack in the air free they comfort. Space offers cafeteria with very good local produce as well as a restaurant, tourist office to make the visit easier. absolutely recommended.

  • We came here because we visited the Santa Rita winery, but it's well worth leaving Santiago for in its own right. Modern, well presented and wide-reaching (and with everything translated into good Eng...  more »

  • It is a bit of a shame that this Museum is located out of the city (it is in Santa Rita Vineyards) because its collection is really vast. The size of the museum is perfect so you don't need hours to revise it all. The room with Inca gold is very spectacular and the posts next to each item are in English and Spanish. The museum includes mostly pre-Columbus art, it also has some everyday items from the Conquistadors and early Chileans.
  • Small but nice museum of the cultures in Chile.
  • And it's free!
  • Priceless pieces of ancient cultures, made in stones, precious wood and gold. Part of Chilean cultural heritage linked to Sta. Rita vineyard.
