  • A Pygmy guide explained what to do if you met an elephant, a gorilla, a Buffalo and a Panther. Then we deep in the forest, according to the Court of a stream. Reached a clearing, we rode a wooden promontory in the trees at the edge of the forest. A few minutes later an elephant enters the clearing strolling slowly until the mid-sniffing at left and right. Then he leaves after his inspection of the premises and returned with behind him the rest of the flock that follows in the line. Elephants occupies all the clearing, which is actually a saline, or each then water and salt it needs. Then there are all the other animals: gazelles, buffaloes, and parrots that twirl in the sky. The show is just beautiful, you don't get tired not. After a few hours, the elephant who came to scout goes, followed by the other elephants. All sink into the forest, and gazelles, buffalos and other animals do the same. Parrots disappear, and it is our turn to get off the promontory to leave the salt and start to our camp. Sublime day!

  • Probably the only place in Africa where you can see so many elephants in forests. Approach easy used gorillas. Any visit is an important step for the conservation of this magical place. Thanks to the WWF for his extraordinary work. As for infrastructure (Doli Lodge), it is excellent for the region and given the current investment, it should be able to arrive at the height of the famous lodges of East Africa. Good to know: midges were present in some places in large quantities and a bug NET to wear a hat or a cap significantly improve comfort

  • Wonderful nature reserve with 3 major points of interest. Plagued Salinas of elephants. After walking along a path about 20 minutes you arrive to a high viewpoint from where you can see between 100 and 150 individuals at the same time. We were 2 times since it is a show that you do not get tired, you can spend hours looking at these wonderful animals. Every day they have a behavior, play, are annoyed, feed children and live in harmony with the buffalos grazing freely with them sharing territory. Majestic gorillas: Macumba, a Silverback of 300kg weight lives in one of the areas that you can visit. After 1 hour and a half road in intense car was waiting for us a walk of about 30 minutes until we finally saw this wonderful animal! Freezes you the heart to see it. It is a herd of 7 copies. Macumba (Silverback) 2 hembraas and 2 junior and 2 twin babies. Show in which little can be described with words. BaAkas: The tribe of Pygmies who live in this natural reserve, wonderful people to sing and dance and look at you with those eyes of curiosity and innocence. You can't miss a day of hunting with them. You go into the jungle and all are surprises! A trip down the river by boat and a natural shower in any of its waterfalls is also a good plan for warm days. The two Lodges that exist (Doly Lodge and Sangha Lodge) are on the banks of the Shangha River with beautiful views and unique sunsets... Both are basic but correct to spend a few days. Very good cuisine and beverages cold. The Doly is something simpler but is closer to Bayanga, the nearest town where there is lots of activity and "trade". No doubt a highly recommended experience for adventurous travellers! The political conditions of the country makes safely travel by plane from Bangui, but can also go by car, even though they are a 14 / 18 h travel... but the area of the Park is very quiet.
