Inspirock Rating:
4.7/5 based on 650+ reviews on the web
Explore the wreckage of a former World WarII U.S. submarine rescue ship at Kittiwake Shipwreck & Artificial Reef. Accessible to both certified divers and snorkelers, the wreck houses a large variety of colorful marine life, with eagle rays skimming through the sand below. Clear waters and openings in the ship itself allow sufficient lighting for you to navigate and examine the ship's many rooms underwater. The wreck itself is still quite new, so there is not much coral growth. For travelers who use our custom trip planner, West Bay holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Kittiwake Shipwreck & Artificial Reef and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

  • This wredk is in shallow enough water that the snorkelers enjoyed the afternoon as much as the scuba divers
  • Awesome dive. Can't wait to go back
  • Super cool
  • Amazing best dive I've ever done. The decompression chamber with air trapped in it was especially memorable. Did this dive two years ago and will be doing it again today.
  • A beautiful shipwreck that is close enough to surface to see clearly when just snorkeling.
  • What an impressive wreck. Clear water, schools of Horse Eyed Jacks , Eagle Rays and an impressive ship. Well worth a tank or two when you're visiting Cayman.
