Swim with dolphins at Dolphin Discovery Grand Cayman. Choose one of the programs and interact with the marine mammals in a specially designed dolphinarium. The programs are suitable for adults and children over eight years of age. The well-maintained facilities offer restrooms, changing rooms, and lockers. Watch the dolphins perform tricks, pet them, and then swim alongside the marine creatures. Sign up for the "Royal Swim" to get close with the dolphins; in this program they pull you across the pool and push you up to the surface of the water by the soles of your feet. • Let me prface this by saying our photographer Travis and the trainer Pedro were very nice and awesome in general. The dolphins were also great though I do have some concerns about the cativity. Outsid...  more »
  • an unforgettable experience. I was very unwilling to do animation. to know the dolphins are in capture. But although the dolphins are in the sea, they are still in an enclosed area. but I was completely charmed by this animal. They seem well maintained. the animation is very well done, in small groups. so is that each people can participate. how wonderful to touch them to cling to the fins and to propel through the water... However I hated the side commercial not allowed to take pictures: normal they sell $ 35 the photo. and you are shot at from all angles with the dolphins. How to resist the final, for not buying one of their pictures! on principle we resisted, that memory will remain engraved in our memory.

  • The Dolphin Discovery site can be a quick and free visit or you can participate if you wish. You can see dolphins very up close for photo ops.  more »

  • Have to say I have never written a review in my life. I just need to get this off my chest. The employees at the facility were very polite and respectful. The experience with the dolphins was wonderful but honestly with a family of 6 we paid A lot of money to have this adventure and when we were all finished they SOAK YOU FOR $300 FOR PICTURES!!!! I was absolutely floored. I understand that when you are in business you need to make a certain profit for overhead and expenses. My wife and I own 4 businesses but charging $300 for pictures to a family is absolutely uncalled for. They settled for $240 which is still overpriced. There is no reason why they can't have a family cap of a reasonable rate. I have been all over the world and have never felt so violated. To the owners: Normal people in this world work hard for their money. When it comes time to vacation and you plan on all activities for the week it is a honor they choose your facility. Please stop taking advantage of people when they want to remember their experience!!
  • HIGHLIGHT OF OUR TRIP!!!!! We absolutely loved swimming with the dolphins here!!! Jimmy and Carlos, (our photographer and trainer) were so much fun! 10/10 would recommend anyone coming to the island to visit here.
  • Carlos was our trainer, our experience was with Richey and Alma. The experience was magical to say the least. Very professional tough us all a bunch we didn't know about dolphins. The experience of the dolphins lifting you out of the water was breath taking, because of my size I was going to skip out on that experience afraid I would hurt them. The trainer assured me they could lift way more then my weight 4times to be exact. The dolphins lifted me all the way out of the water with ease. I highly recommend t the royal experience to everyone!!!
  • When I called to reserve they hung up on me three times and I'd have to keep calling back to even get a spot. I had a reservation and wound up breaking my foot and was in the hospital so I had to cancel. Every other company was willing to help cancel and refund the deposit once I provided medical proof but they didn't care at all. For an island with such nice hospitality I actually think this was the worst company I dealt with on the island. It's only human for emergencies to come up and the hospital bill was expensive enough and I really needed that deposit. Don't do business with these people, I also heard they are worse than SeaWorld to their dolphins when talking to a local.
  • Can't remember the trainer's name but he was great. Only problem was the cost of the photos... $200. Don't get me wrong they were extremely good photos but at that cost it just isn't worth it. When we asked to buy just one picture of us behind these trees the photo ladie said she wouldn't sell it but would sell any of the others. She was straight trying to get money out of us and we weren't that stupid to pay. Like I said though the trainer did a great job but their pictures were something else.
