  • Barker's is an under-appreciated treasure on Grand Cayman. You should definitely visit if you want to get a feel for what the raw / undeveloped island feels like, with endless acres of marshy mangroves surrounded by beautiful natural shoreline with a thin sandy beach ringing the majority of it. The interior can be a bit monotonous and it would be a better experience if there were more signage with some history and educational material on the plant and animal life in the park, but this is offset by the beauty of the coastal areas--particularly the sandy parts.
